Scott Robison drove in the first two runs with a triple in the third and later secured Ripon’s fifth straight win from the mound with a two-inning save in a 6-1 victory at Riverbank Friday.

The Indians (5-3, 13-9 overall) roll into next week’s pivotal Trans-Valley League series with Orestimba (5-3, 12-6), and both clubs are two games behind first-place Escalon while in position to secure Sac-Joaquin Section playoff berths.

Robison finished 2 for 3 with a run and a double in the seventh. He gave up two hits and a walk while striking out two in relief of sophomore Brandon Scott, who fanned six and scattered four hits in five innings.

Josh Clark contributed two runs and drove in two others. Michael Ysit was 2 for 4. Tristen Rogers and Chad Oliver each belted two hits for Riverbank (1-7).
