Jayden Shortridge scored four touchdowns Saturday for the Manteca Jr. Buffaloes JV in a 45-0 drubbing of the Manteca Cowboys at Guss Schmiedt Field.

Shortridge (seven carries, 182 yards 4 TD’s) scored on runs of 18, 25, 48 and 48 yards. Jayden Jourdan added 109 yards on eight carries with scoring runs of 5, 8 and 48 yards. Brock McCurdy, Colton Coenenberg, Steven Wynn, Gilbert Maldonado, Trenton Fitzhugh and Jessy Arceo all contributed to the offense.

Shortridge (fumble recovery) notched four tackles with three each for Gilbert Maldonado and Mateo Mena. Isaiah Gonzalez recovered two fumbles.

Steven Wynn, Trenton Fitzhugh, Christopher Antellas, Julio Rizzo, Michael Somera, Jaxson DeBarr, Blake Rauchman and Evan Hernandez all contributed to the Jr. Buffaloes defense.

Ripon Knights novice 19, Salida Eagles 18 (2 OT)

After Gunnar Gorbunoff (nine carries, 68 yards, two touchdowns) scored on a 5-yard run in the second overtime, Austin Chaney (nine carries, 65 yards, touchdown) powered in the game-deciding conversion run at Ripon Christian High School.

Gorbunoff scored also scored on a 22-yard run and Chaney added a 17-yard scoring run. Nicolas Rangel added 53 yards on 10 carries.

Gorbunoff (fumble recovery), Malachi Clayton (forced fumble) and Rangel tallied five tackles apiece. Callen Newell added four stops and Walter De Jong three. Michael MacNeilage, Bryson Ceniceroa, Chaney, Hudson Browne and Jonathan Maxwell all contributed to the defensive effort.
