Students and teachers in Manteca High School’s Visual and Performing Arts Department will celebrate their annual Day of the Arts on Wednesday, April 21, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Winter Gym. This event is free and open to the public.

On display will be artwork from the school’s art, design, photo, architecture, and video production classes, as well as live performances by members of the band, choir, and drama classes. A panel of experts will judge the student artwork, with top-prize finishers moving on to compete in the district art show later in the month. Awards will also be given to outstanding students in each of the department’s classes. For more information please contact Mary Monaghan, chair of the Visual and Performing Arts Department, at 858-7340.
