Lathrop High homecoming: Hollywood & hoedown

LATHROP – The Lathrop High School Spartans are taking a bite of the Big Apple, going Hollywood, and conducting a round-up complete with western attire, hoedown throw-down and big-time cardinal.

Rounding out all that geographic entertainment taking place on campus this week are the powder puff Football at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday with the Boy Cheerleaders performing and the crowning of the King and Duke during half-time. Friday night’s football game vs. Weston Ranch is capped by the crowning of the Queen and Duchess during the Varsity game half-time.

It’s all in a week’s fun as Lathrop’s first high school celebrates another homecoming week with the theme, “Lathrop High Hits the Road.”

The lunch time carnival on Thursday will have various campus clubs selling a variety of food to raise money for their organizations and projects. Cost for the evening entertainment and game is $3 per student – it’s free to students with ASB cards.

On Friday, there will be a rally and float presentations, starting at 6:30 p.m., which will take place between the JV and the Varsity games. The homecoming game against Weston Ranch High will begin at 7 p.m. Cost is $7 for general admission, $5 for students dressed in black and gold. Free admission to students with ASB cards.

Lathrop High School is located on the west side of Interstate 5 at the end of Lathrop Road.
