Another retail space is being proposed in the area of the Ripon Crossing shopping center.

This is a 6,394 square-foot building for commercial lease space on a 28,800-foot parcel at 798 N. Jack Tone Rd.

Plans for the proposed Jack Tone Retail by API Architect were submitted last month to the City of Ripon’s Department of Planning and Economic Development.

The current location is described as “vacant land within a partially developed commercial center” – specifically, the area between Tractor Supply Co. and the currently under construction Burger King / Popeye Chicken restaurants.

The site will feature 23 on-site parking spaces and 15 percent landscaping.

A major review meeting with applicant is scheduled for 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 1, in the City Hall Conference Room at 259 N. Wilma Ave.

Plans will be forwarded from there to the Ripon Planning Commission – a major site review would be scheduled for Feb. 14 in the Council Chamber.
