Three individuals were shot in front of a residence in south central Manteca at 10:35 p.m. Halloween night as a party was breaking up at the corner of Willow and Oregon streets.
Two men and one woman in their mid-20s were struck by bullets as they were standing in a crowd of some 25 people who were preparing to go home. Manteca Police quoted witnesses who said a car slowed down in the street before someone started firing multiple rounds out the window striking the partiers.
Two victims were transported by ambulance to Modesto hospitals and one was driven to a Manteca hospital by a friend before officers arrived on the scene.  Police said it appeared that the injuries were probably non-life threatening.
At press time, police said they were going to the Manteca area hospital to check on the condition of the one victim who was taken there in a private vehicle following the shooting.
