John Gary Strand passed away on Aug. 12, 2010 in Brentwood. He was 29.
He was born April 3, 1981, in Hayward, CA
John Gary is survived by his parents: Sandy Strand and John Strand; children: Ashleigh Strand, April Strand, and John Tyler Strand, all of Patterson; sister: Kara Strand, Manteca; nieces: Constance Belger and Candyce Belger, both of Manteca.
John Gary loved his children more than anything in the world. He enjoyed writing and producing his own music. He had a way of touching your heart with his unconditional love and generosity, as he would give someone in need the last penny he had. His undying devotion to God and his children surpassed all earthly matters. We will always remember his silly laugh, his hilarious humor and his generous heart. John Gary came into this world with a special purpose. Although we do not understand his short time here, he graced us with his presence and will always remain in our hearts. He is the apple of his mother’s eye. The love of his life, Alesha Gartner, cherished every moment of the last year of his life. John Gary will always be our shining star!
A trust fund has been established for John Gary’s children’s education. Donations can be made through Sandra and Kara Strand and Alesha Gartner.
