Manteca, Ripon and Ripon Christian have been awarded top-three seeds for the Sac-Joaquin Section volleyball playoffs that start next week with play-in matches on Monday.

Valley Oak League co-champion Manteca (24-6) headlines three area teams in the Division III bracket. The third-seeded Buffaloes host to No. 14 Los Banos (11-11), the third-place team out of the Western Athletic Conference, next Tuesday starting at 7 p.m.

WAC runner-up Lathrop (14-5) is the 12th seed and faces No. 5 Central Catholic (16-8) in Modesto. Central owns the other half of the VOL crown and is the defending champ in the bracket.

No. 15 Sierra (8-7) is making its first postseason appearance since 2010 and travels to Sacramento to face powerhouse Christian Brothers (26-5), a 10-time Section champion. Lincoln (25-2) of Placer County is the top seed of the division.

In Division IV, Ripon (20-9) is the No. 3 seed and awaits No. 14 Galt (8-8). Trans-Valley League rival Escalon (25-2) tops the bracket.

Ripon Christian (32-5) gets to defend its Division V championship from 2019 as a No. 1 seed. The Knights, who leads all schools with 16 SJS titles, have a first-round bye and will take on either No. 8 Delta Charter (13-5) or No. 9 John Adams Academy (15-4) on Thursday.

The final rounds for all six divisions is scheduled for Nov. 6 at Natomas and Ripon high schools.
